World Series is Decided

On October 29, 2008, the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series. I am personally a fan of the team, and watched them all through the playoffs. At first, I thought the thought of them even going to the World Series was a big joke. Then as games passed, I got more excited about that thought.

Today, October 31, 2008, was the parade for Phillie fans to celebrate the outcome of the World Series. I went to part of the parade, and it was fantastic! There was so many people there that you couldn't even see the side walk. Everyone was so excited, and were anxious to see the winning team roll down Broad Street. In fact, when the team came in front of where I was standing, everyone yelled and cheered louder than ever before. Jayson Werth had a can of beer and sprayed it all over people near me, and me. It was one of the most fun filled parades I've ever been to.Sporting goods stores in the area were filled with many, many people. At the one I went to, it was a 45 minute wait yesterday. Not as bad as I thought, but still very crowded.

This win by the Philadelphia Phillies was a great confidence boost for the city, and caused happiness by many. Parties were going on, people were having fun, and many stayed safe while partying. I just want to say "Congrats Phillies! You deserve it!"

Obama or McCain?

Who will be the next president of the United States of America? No one knows yet, but on November 4th, we will find out. This election could go either way. I don't know about you, but I have seen many lawn signs for McCain and Palin, but I believe Barack Obama would make a better president. I feel that we have had presidents with the same beliefs as McCain for too long. He plans to tax health benefits for the first time. It will be hard for many families in America, not to mention if some how Palin was president, she wouldn't be good enough. She is inexperienced and has a hard time during interviews. If Biden became president some how, I would feel better because he seems more experienced and has some great ideas.
Who do you think should be the next president? You can vote on the pole on the right. I encourage you to go out and vote on November 4, 2008 to decide our next president.
