Where's Caylee?

That is the question everyone is asking, where is Caylee? This is one of the craziest cases that I have ever heard of. Casey Anthony, the two-year-old's mother, waited a month to report her daughter missing. Why she did, I don't know, but that's ridiculous. This definitely shows that Casey knows what happened to her daughter, or if she doesn't, doesn't seem to care what happened to her.

I think Cindy Anthony, the grandmother of Caylee, is in on the crime partly because she thought that the scent that was smelled in the trunk of a car used by Casey was "old pizza," although the police don't think so. They believed it was the scent of human decomposition. Those two scents don't seem to be similar to me. 911 calls have recently been released between Casey and her mother, Cindy. According to the calls released, both Casey and Cindy act like they don't know what happened to Caylee, but I believe it's all an act. I think Casey should just face the music already and plea guilty. Someone called and claimed they saw Caylee boarding a flight at Orlando National Airport to Atlanta with an older woman. When she talked to the woman and young girl, the girl said her name was Caylee "Antony," which is the way her grandparents said she pronounces her last name. She also said she was three years old, and Caylee is almost three. I am not sure that this is what really happened, but it is possible.

I do hope, however, if Caylee is alive, that she is soon brought back home. It is such a shame that a two-year-old girl should have to go through this.

Has Reality T.V. Gone Too Far?

Has reality t.v. gone too far? Well, some might not think so, but I do, and I don't. For example, that show "Celebrity Circus" puts people in danger, and there is absolutely no point of it.

Many shows make people do the craziest things. Even though people have the choice to be on shows like this, it is still wrong. In the show "Fear Factor," people are asked to eat bugs and climb up buildings. That's ridiculous! Why would anyone make people do such things? In the new show "Wipe Out," people have to jump on to big "bouncy balls" in a big pit of mud. That sounds some-what dangerous to me.

But other shows are interesting, and actually don't put people in danger. For example, shows such as "American Idol" and "America's Got Talent" are great shows for the whole family. People are having good, clean fun on these types of shows.

So, has reality t.v. gone too far? Some shows have, and others haven't reached that point yet.

The McDonald's Lawsuit

On February 2,1994, Stella Liebeck of Albuquerque, New Mexico, bought a $0.49 cup of coffee from the drive thru window at McDonald's. She was the passenger in the car, and her grandson Chris was driving. He parked the car, so that Stella could fix her coffee to her liking by adding cream and sugar. She put the coffee between her legs, so she could get the lid off. When she tried to pull the lid off, the whole cup of coffee spilled all over her lap. The coffee burned her skin, so then she sued the McDonald's restaurant.

Who's really to blame? Well, its still really undecided. I do have an opinion. It is partially Stella Liebeck's fault because she wasn't being careful and spilled it. McDonald's is also to blame because their coffee shouldn't be hot enough to burn someone. That would be like if you went to a hotel, and you decided to take a shower. You turn the hot water on all the way, and the water is so hot that it burns you. It seems that that is hotel's fault, more then it is yours. This case is similar to a situation like that. It  could have really went either way. The decision was made in August of 1994. Stella Liebeck ended up to win the case because it was said that it was 20% her fault, and 80% McDonald's fault. She then was awarded $600,000 in punitive damages.

Some people don't believe this was the right decision, but I don't know. It seems right, but not right at the same time. It was one of those cases that could have went either way.

The Baby Borrowers

The new hit t.v. show "The Baby Borrowers" has many people raging. This show allows teens to experience what it's like to have and to take care of a baby.

Although the parents are the ones letting their child in on this "experiment", I believe that they are putting their children into danger. Even though they are watching 24/7 and can step in at anytime, the child still could become overwhelmed and could suffer a tantrum. I wouldn't want my child to feel uncomfortable, or become overwhelmed. Most people feel this way about the show, but others feel differently.

Some parents believe that it really helps the teen couples on making the right and safe decision. I agree with that, but I would want my child to be as safe as possible. At least the teens want to make the right decision, instead of going ahead, not knowing if they did the right thing.

This show helps lead the teen couples on the the right path, and thats great, but could possibly be putting the children in danger.
